• Q: WHAT MATERIALS DO YOU USE FOR THE BACKDROPS AND FLOORDROPS?
A: By default, we use polypropylene (polypro). Once an order is placed, we will contact you to confirm your order and choose one of these 2 polypro options:
poly matt which is glare free, tear resistant, durable , wrinkle free and water resistant; however depending on the design you select the backdrop might appear less vibrant. The other polypro option we have is poly gloss which is tear resistant, durable , wrinkle free, has beautiful vibrant colors and it is water resistant; however it has some glare to it.
We also have a thick vinyl option and it is currently available for floordrops only. If you would like to order a vinyl backdrop, please contact us.
We also have a select amount of ready to ship floor mats. The neoprene floor mats have non slip rubber back, they are water resistant, easy to clean and have no glare to them.
• Q: HOW SHOULD I CARE FOR MY BACKDROPS AND FLOORDROPS?
A: To preserve the backdrops, floordrops or mats, you should either hang the backdrops up or lay the vinyl floordrops / floor mats out flat or store them rolled. The polypro and vinyl drops should not be folded. The floor mats may be folded. Polypro backdrops should not be wiped with damped cloth or washed. Some foot prints can be removed from the drops by using a dry paper towel. Vinyl floordrops can be cleaned with wet wipes. Floor mats and vinyl floordrops can be cleaned using a bit of the grandma’s secret spot remover.
Please use the drops (polypro, vinyl and neoprene floor mats) only on hard surfaces as using them on carpets or uneven surfaces can cause wrinkling and other damage.
• Q: HOW WIDE CAN YOU PRINT?
A: At the moment we can print up to 5 ft (60 inch) by 15 ft (180). This means that if you choose a vertical orientation drop it will be 5ft wide and in length it can vary depending on your need. If you choose a horizontal orientation drop, the height will be 5ft and the width of the drop will vary depending on your need.
• Q: REFUND AND RETURNS.
A: Since we print custom orders only, we can not refund or accept returned backdrops or floordrops or floor mats. Before leaving our studio, each drop is checked for quality and the client gets to see the backdrop before taking it away. If the drop has been picked up after checking, no refund or return can be made. If for some reason the drop is damaged, we will reprint and will not allow the drop to leave our studio. Shipped backdrops and floordrops are checked before mailing.
• Q: DO YOU SHIP?
A: We do offer shipping of all products on our website. At the moment we only offer Canadian shipping through the website. For a custom shipping quote to the U.S.A and other locations outside of Canada, please contact us directly. The shipping rate in Canada is $35 for the first drop and extra $10 shipping for each additional drop.
All of our backdrops and floordrops are shipped rolled in a tube and wrapped in protective plastic film to prevent any damage. Floor mats can be shipped rolled or folded.
Drops and Props Canada takes no responsibility over the items once they are shipped. We will provide you with a tracking number for the shipped item.
• Q: WHAT IS YOUR TURNAROUND TIME AND CAN I EXPEDITE MY ORDER?
A: Our backdrops and floordrops are ready for pick up or shipping within 2 to 6 days after the order has been placed and confirmed. All in stock products are shipped out within 24-48 hours. If you would like to expedite your order, we offer a 24-hour print turnaround guaranteed for only $30+GST. To place a rushed order, please contact us directly. We also offer rushed shipping option. For additional $20-$40 plus tax we will upgrade your shipping from expedited (5 days shipping) to overnight or 2 business days shipping.
Prints are typically shipped within 1-3 days after being printed.
• Q: WHY DOES THE COLOR OF MY DROP LOOK SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT THEN THE DROP I ORDERED ONLINE?
A: Different monitors display colors and brightness differently. Additionally, printed images look differently in different room light. Thus, your drop might have a slight difference in color.
• Q: HOW CAN I PLACE AN ORDER AND WHAT MEANS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
A: You can order your drops by either placing an order on this site. Alternatively, you may contact us by email or via the contact us form and we will process your order through email or phone.
For our local clients in Calgary we offer a cash drop off option and a debit card transaction.
For all clients we offer an email transfer and credit card over the phone transaction. Please note there will be 3% service fee added for credit card over the phone transaction.
Tax will be added to all orders. We will provide you with a receipt for your records after you place an order.
• Q: HOW DO I PUT THE BACKDROP UP?
A: There are several methods for putting your backdrop up for use:
O You can tape the backdrop to a wall using painter’s tape.
O You can buy a Velcro strip and mount it to the wall with Velcro.
O You can use clips or clamps to clip the drop onto a backdrop holder.
O You can put magnetic strips on your wall and hang the backdrops using magnets.
• Q: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A FLOORDROP AND A BACKDROP?
A: Backdrops are used as a background for the photoshoot and floordrops and floor mats are used as the flooring for the photoshoot. Wood drops are the most versatile as they can be used as both the backdrop and the floordrop. Other floordrops could be tile floor, brick, pavement, grass, hay, etc.
• Q: DO YOU PRINT CUSTOM ORDERS?
A: Yes! if you have captured an image that you would like to print to use as a drop or purchased a stock image you would like printed, we can do that for you! the best part is that we do not charge extra for this service. for more info, please contact us.
• Q: CAN I CANCEL OR CHANGE MY ORDER?
A: All orders are processed and confirmed by a representative within a day after order submitted on the website. Orderes can not be cancelled or changed after confirmation.
